This election is beyond important
This election may be one of the most important in the history of the United States. It will signal to the world if we will see reason again – or continue down the path to oblivion we are presently on.
I do not care if you are liberal, conservative, middle-of-the-road, Republican, Democrat of whatever – the present administration is twisted, has nobody’s interests at heart but their own, and are hurting us far more than helping us.
The world is watching. And we presently look utterly ridiculous. Stop deluding yourself if you think otherwise. Trump has no civility, no compassion, no kindness, and has behavior is sure as hell not becoming of the office leading a nation such as this.
You think Trump and the Republicans help the economy?
There are so many vetted studies showing that nothing could be further from the truth. The gauge of the stock market has nothing to do with reality.
Trickle-down economics has NEVER worked, never will work, and needs to be ended as a practice. The for-profit union-busting deregulation spouted by the GOP only helps the very wealthy. They are the ones doing the most harm to their supporters. But they’re so very good at deflecting that.
This. Is. NOT. Normal.
We need to act to stop normalizing it. This election is for the soul of the nation.
The current President of the United States is one of the most entitled, self-righteous, narcissistic, arrogant people in the world. He is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with this country. The exact opposite of what the President is supposed to be.
We are a nation of diversity. Though never perfect, we have witnessed fights to create inclusivity for women, blacks and other people of color, LGBTQA+, all religions, and any other label you can think of.
Vote like your life depends on it this election
Because it probably does. Unless you come from a truly isolated area of the country – you have a friend or family member in danger.
Maybe they rely on health insurance they will lose without the Affordable Care Act – and more specifically its preexisting conditions protections. Your black friend could be shot by a cop for driving their car or going to a store because they are black – and the police will not be held accountable. Your gay friend may not be able to find work because they’re gay – and potential employers are being allowed to discriminate for “religious” reasons. A cousin might get sick from COVID-19 and die because the government is doing nothing to deal with this pandemic.
This is where we are at. Whether you have been impacted by the increasingly distressing government directly, indirectly, or not-at-all – someone you know has been. Or will be.
And so might you. Vote by mail now or get out on Tuesday, November 3rd and vote.
